Statement from ERA regarding the AGK

The Board of ERA have noted with great sadness the allegations surrounding the Abraham Geiger College. As rabbis and teachers we are expected to abide by the highest moral values of our Jewish tradition and as role models we are called upon to exemplify the ideals we proclaim.

We add our voice to calls for a fully independent enquiry to be held in a timely fashion, so that any silenced voices may speak their truth. No one should ever have to experience harassment, abuses of power, or fear in their places of work or of study. The pursuit of truth and justice must start immediately. In the words of our Torah “צדק צדק תרדף Tzedek Tzedek tirdof - Justice, Justice you shall pursue!” (Dt. 16:20)
